Rusty Chain Dive Services
Safety & service disclaimer
No guarantee of recovery
Submitting a request does not guarantee acceptance, scheduling, locating an object, recovering an object, or achieving a particular result. Objects may move, settle, become buried, be obscured, or be inaccessible.
Conditions vary
Weather, water temperature, visibility, depth, currents, boat traffic, bottom material, vegetation, entanglement, contamination, access, equipment needs, and other underwater or surface hazards can change before or during a job. Information supplied by a customer is used for planning but may not reflect actual conditions.
Safety authority
The diver retains final authority to decide whether it is safe and appropriate to enter the water, continue a dive, change the plan, or terminate the work. A dive may be declined, postponed, modified, or stopped when conditions, access, equipment, physical readiness, legal authority, or the requested work are outside safe or accepted limits.
Acceptance and scheduling
A form submission is an inquiry, not a confirmed booking. Dates are requests only until Rusty Chain Dive Services explicitly accepts the job and confirms scheduling. Service categories on this website identify requests that may be evaluated; they do not promise that every requested task will be performed.
Depth and operating limits
The maximum service depth is 100 feet. The diver may apply a lower limit or decline work based on actual conditions, access, visibility, temperature, equipment, hazards, or other safety considerations.
Estimates and changing scope
The minimum charge is $450 and includes the first hour for jobs reached by land. Additional time starts at $125 per hour, with the final rate depending on conditions and job requirements. Preparation work, special access arrangements, boat fees, and travel based on distance from Chelan are additional. Unexpected depth, search area, access constraints, conditions, hazards, equipment needs, or additional work may require a revised plan or estimate.
Authority and access
The customer must have lawful authority to request the work and permission to access the property, dock, marina, vessel, equipment, or item involved. The customer should disclose known hazards, restrictions, ownership disputes, utilities, traffic, and site rules before scheduling.
Visual observations
Unless separately agreed and appropriately qualified, underwater photos, video, and observations are informational. They are not engineering opinions, code certifications, environmental assessments, or guarantees about concealed or future conditions.
